B27 CHASSIS REGISTER

The 1974 B27 was designed to race in both F2 and Formula Atlantic, in F2 the 2-litre BMW, Schnitzer-BMW or Hart BDA was the engine of choice whilst Atlantic cars used the 1600cc BDA. On occasions the B27 showed flashes of genuine promise, Tom Pryce put the Team Baty car on the pole at the F2 Salzburgring round and David Purley finished second in the race driving the Team Harper B27-BMW. Later in the season Purley was second again at Enna and Rouen, the later not counting towards the European F2 Championship and Pryce finished 3rd at Mugello. However, as was the norm at the time, the B27 had to play second fiddle to the hordes of March-BMWs that dominated the formula.

In Atlantic Bill Brack won the final round of the Players Canadian Championship which took place at Halifax, Nova Scotia.
